Woohoo got the graphic novel Bone

After putting money aside for many months, I could finally embrace the complete series of Bone with my trembling sweaty hands! Even though we had been saving for months (pocket change was shown no mercy), the arrival of Bone still came as a big surprise due to Jessica's clandestine order placed directly to the publisher. Never heard of Bone? Bone is written and drawn by
Rock Star Jeff Smith (capitals on the monniker are WELL-deserved) and is considered one of the world's best graphic novels *ever*.

The Bone Collection is a brick! Weighing in at a whopping total of 1,342 pages, it is listed by Time Magazine as one of the ten best graphic novels. Time Magazine: “The story is singularly characterized by an effective combination of both light-hearted comedy and dark, epic fantasy. As sweeping as the Lord of the Rings cycle, but much funnier”.

The original series (print) was 55 books in black & white, but these were later given colour by Steve Hamaker (Homepages one and two) and reprinted in a 9-volume hardcover release, one set of which now sits comfortably in my living room. Joy! The Bone series has won 10 Eisner Awards and 11 Harvey Awards!
