New Zealand blog 3: August 2007

In August we actually started trying to get out of the house and see a bit more of the city and the area. The weather seemed to be a bit more permissive, as did the gradually increasing day length. Here's some breathtaking photos SM took from the hills just South of us.

Cattle and sheep are found by the bazillions here, as Canterbury is more-or-less an agricultural district. Even the cattle have good views!

Here's one of the few pics of SM I've been allowed to take. The fence behind him is his new enclosure, where I put him when he misbehaves he he.

Our garden was starting to bloom and the cats just love playing in the garden with us, inducing such joy in them as to make them temporarily believe that they are dogs...

Things were definitely getting better.
